THE man responsible for Mossman’s triple Group 1 winning sprinter Buffering, Eagle Farm trainer Robert Heathcote, delivered Vinery’s Golden Slipper sire his 11th stakeswinner for the 2013/14 season in Queensland on the weekend.

Three-year-old gelding Hopfgarten posted his fourth straight win this preparation with a 1.3-lens triumph in the Group 3 BRC Gunsynd Classic (1600m).

Ironically, Hopfgarten’s extreme outside barrier (14) was the first time the gelding has come up with a double figure alley in his 15 race starts.

It didn’t matter in the end as Hopfgarten came away to extend his winning sequence to four straight for his happy connections.

As mentioned, Mossman is directly accountable for 11 stakeswinners since August 1 last year from here to New Zealand, Asia and South Africa including three at the highest level, Mossfun, Buffering and Miss Mossman.
