Former top Australian race-mare FOREST EXPRESS has tested in foal to the Vinery shuttle stallion MYBOYCHARLIE this northern spring in England.
FOREST EXPRESS won the Vanity S., Gr 3 at Flemington as a 3-year-old and was placed in several top races including the Wakeful Stakes, Gr.2, Magic Night S., Gr.2, Silver Shadow S., Gr.2, Sweet Embraces S., Gr.3 and was fourth in the Champagne S., Gr1 and the Flight S., Gr.1, during her career in Australia.
FOREST EXPRESS hails from a top European family which includes champion European colt New Approach. As such she was returned to England and sold for a price of 400,000 Guineas as a broodmare at the Tattersalls December Sales, with a Green Desert filly from her selling as the highest priced filly foal sold at auction the same year at 320,000 Guineas. Forest Express currently has a foal at foot by Haafhd, winner of the classic English Two Thousand Guineas, Gr.1. “Given Myboycharlie’s overall quality and brilliance as a 2-year-old he was an obvious mate for her” said National Stud manager Brian O’Rourke.
MYBOYCHARLIE stands at the English National Stud in the Northern Hemisphere where he will cover a high class book in his first Northern season. Mares to be covered include the dams of Group one winners Sahpresa (2009 Sun Chariot S., Gr.1) and Amorama (Del Mar Oaks, Gr.1), 10 individual stakes winners, such as Misty Eyed, Mabadi, Play Around, Lady Raj, Hoosick Falls, Phone The Diva, Miss Possibility, Lindsay’s Wish, Lizzy’s Township and full or half sisters to Harayir (English 1,000 Guineas, Gr.1), Storming Home (Newmarket Champion S., Gr.1), Link River (Saratoga John Morris H., Gr.1), Proclamation (Goodwood Sussex S., Gr.1) by stallions like Gone West, Seeking The Gold, Machiavellian, Bering, El Prado, Green Desert, Pivotal, Sadler’s Wells, Quiet American, Montjeu, Lear Fan, Dixie Union, etc.
