MOSSMAN SON Buffering has taken out Queensland’s Horse of the Year honours for the second year running.

The Robert Heathcote trained galloper has been a fabulous campaigner over numerous seasons winning 12 of his 35 starts with 9 seconds and 5 thirds.

He has total current earnings of $2,606,900.

Buffering’s elusive Group 1 win was tipped to come to him in last Friday night’s star studded Moir Stakes – a race he won last year.

In the end however the brave 6YO had no answer to Vinery mare Samaready’s awesome burst of acceleration that saw the daughter of More Than Ready streak away to a 4-lens win.

Buffering’s `silver’ was his 10th Group 1 placing.
