Promising young Vinery Stud based sire Myboycharlie (IRE) posted a winning double on Saturday with Dowdstown Charlie scoring at Randwick in Sydney and Sprinting Queen successful at Turffontein in South Africa.

A $140,000 Magic Millions purchase for his trainer David Payne from the draft of Amarina Farm, the newly gelded Dowdstown Charlie produced his A game to down stakes-winner Everage in the 1200 metre open juvenile event.

Dowdstown Charlie is the first winner for Raindane, who comes from the family of Group I winners Laisserfaire and Lone Rock.

In South Africa, the Geoff Woodruff trained filly Sprinting Queen broke her maiden at her third start, scoring by a neck over 1450 metres.

Sprinting Queen is the third winner from Group II winning Danasinga mare Conquistar.

Myboycharlie (pictured) is the sire of five winners from his first Southern Hemisphere crop and his first French runner Salai won on debut last week.

Myboycharlie stands at Vinery this spring at a fee of $16,500 and will return from Haras de Mezeray in August.
