The John Thompson trained mare turned in a herculean first-up run in the Sheraco Stakes at Rosehill beating all bar the winner Driefontein in a deep assembly of fillies and mares at Group 3 level.
Peron rose to prominence with a string of wins over the Brisbane carnival culmintaing in her 2-lens triumph in the Listed Gai Waterhouse Stakes on the Ipswich Cup card in mid-June.
Peron is one of five stakeswinners from Husson’s first Australian crop alongside Affable, Lucky Hussler, The Huntress and 2011 Gimcrack Stakes winner Hussousa.
