EXCITES three-year-old Red Excitement is in line for another incredible pay-day is he can take out the ATC Find Your Next Racehorse Handicap (1500m) at Rosehill on Saturday.

The former Inglis Classic graduate will collect a grand total of nearly $140,000 and send his earnings past $300,000 in what will be just his first dozen starts.

Red Excitement banked his first $50,000 Inglis Bonus when he led throughout to win a mile race at Gosford before his last start fighting third in a 1900m race at Rosehill under 59kg.

“Coming back to 1500m probably suits him and I would imagine he’d be one of the fittest horses in the race,” says Vinery’s Adam White.

“He has barrier 2 and will make full use of it as well as the 3kg claim for an in-form Jenny Duggan. He looks a great chance.”

Meanwhile on Sunday, Warwick Farm galloper Scream Machine can overturn a frustrating sequence of minor placings this time in with a win in the $100,000 Goulburn Cup (1600m).

The Jason Coyle-trained first crop Excites gelding has finished third at his past three outings, all of them at Rosehill.

“I think the key to Scream Machine is that the big field which should generate some pace and that might help him settle and find his feet a bit better than he has been of late,” says White.

“The big track is right up his alley and he is guaranteed to run a strong mile.”
