EXCITES filly Madame Fly went a long way to repaying her $50,000 purchase price when she took out the ATC Vili’s Pies 2YO Plate (1000m) on debut at Warwick Farm on December 5.

The Cessnock visitor was knocked down to her owner David Walker at the 2012 Magic Millions Yearling Sale from among the Raheen Stud draft.

The filly is by Vinery’s Group 1 winning 2YO Excites from McFly, who is a daughter of Testa Rossa sire Perugino.

McFly was a talented mare herself winning at Flemington, Moonee Valley and at Morphettville.

She also managed to finish third in the Listed VRC Red Roses (1200m) at Flemington behind Gold Edition.

Madame Fly collected almost $30,000 for her impressive debut win, $10,000 of which was courtesy of Racing NSW’s BOBS incentive which all of Vinery’s stallions are fully paid up for.

Madame Fly, trained by Robert Davies, joins another recent promising pre-Xmas 2YO winner from Excites new round of juveniles namely Excites Zelady who won at Morphettville Parks on debut.
