EXCITES filly Excited Lover signalled a prosperous campaign ahead after an outstanding 4.5-lens win at Wellington in central New South Wales on Monday.
Trained at Gulgong by Brett Thompson, Excited Lover has been placed third twice from her preceding four appearances.
Jockey Hannah Martin used the filly’s natural pace to sit second before racing away in the straight to put a sizeable gap on her rivals.
Excited Lover is from Excites second crop and from a Scenic mare who has already produced five other winners.
Excites, a Group 1 wining 2YO by Danewin out of Staging, is also the sire of stakeswinner Flag Officer as well as metro winners Excites Zelady, Black Jag, Madame Fly, Amber’s Crown and 2013 Doncaster Hcp hopeful Scream Machine.
