A ROUSING barrier trial win at his home track last month has Excites son Scream Machine poised for a potential boilover in tomorrow’s star-studded Tramway Handicap at Randwick.

The race has brought together six Group 1 winners, minus Norzita whose withdrawal from the race has allowed first emergency Scream Machine to take his place in the field.

While he is not a noted first-up performer and is at his best over more ground, Scream machine’s brilliant last-to-first trial win in a 1200m heat on August 30 signals a bold showing on the cards.

Scream Machine is trained by Jason Coyle who is wading through a purple patch at the top of the spring carnival having won back to back stakes races with the 3YO Va Pensiero.

Coyle has enjoyed considerable success with the Excites breed having watched on as then 2YO debutante Sweet Serendipity streaked away to win the rich Inglis Challenge at Scone in May.
