MORE Than Ready mare Dreamaway will be chasing her second Group 1 win when she tackles the prestigious MRC Toorak Handicap (1600m) at Caulfield this weekend.

The Bob and Sue Peters owned four-year-old emigrated to Victoria after winning five straight races back in Perth culminating in a rare WATC Derby/Oaks double.

Western Australia’s best mare will be attempting to emulate fellow More Than Ready mare and NSW horse of the Year, More Joyous in winning the Toorak Handicap.  More Joyous was victorious last year carrying 58kg.

”Dreamaway is extremely well weighted with 52.5kgs and has Kerrin McEvoy to ride. She is third up now and gets to the mile which is going to suit her,” says Vinery’s Adam White.

Dreamaway was responsible for an eye-catching first-up effort in the VRC Sofitel (1400m) before finishing 4.6-lens behind Toorak Toff in the Group 1 Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes (1400m).
