SUPER sire More Than Ready unearthed another potential autumn contender after debutante Assassinate handed in a thoroughly dominant win at Wyong today.

The Gerald Ryan trained youngster was heavily backed to take out the event and gave his backers no cause for concern leading throughout before going to win easing down.

Assassinate is surely bred to win a two-year-old major, his sire has delivered successive Golden Slipper winners in Australia while grand-dam, Lady Jakeo, won the 1993 Group 1 VRC Blue Diamond Stakes (1200m).

Assassinate, bred by Gerry Harvey, is the seventh foal of the Unbridled Song mare, Miss Jakeo, whose previous offerings include the stakeswinners Miss Judgement and Fifth Avenue Lady as well as city winners, Fusakeo and Mrs Onassis.

Assassinate was knocked down to Gerald Ryan for $450,000 at the 2011 Magic Millions Yearling sale on the Gold Coast.

The colt is the sixth individual 2YO winner sired by More Than Ready this season joining stakeswinners Raceway, Samaready and Cambiaso and the stakes placed Dysfunction.
