VINERY stud resident Myboycharlie’s sire Danetime continues to fashion high quality stakeswinning sprinters despite his untimely passing some years ago.
This is what the UK racing bible had to say about Danetime in the wake of Triple Aspect’s win the G3 Coral Charge Stakes (5f) at Sandown this week.
“Danetime may have been dead for five years but his final crop member Triple Aspect continues to provide a reminder of his success , which was achieved despite never standing for more than €8,500 at Tally-Ho Stud,” they wrote.
“Stewards Cup winner Danetime made his mark as the sire of fast and precocious performers such as Myboycharlie, Bushranger and Baltic King, and Triple Aspect is no exception.”
Danetime’s latest success serves a timely reminder for breeders here in Australia of the presence of his first Group One winner, Myboycharlie, who was crowned Champion 2YO (France) after winning the coveted G1 Deauville Prix Morny.
Myboycharlie won his first three starts by a total of 12-lens including the G3 Anglesey Stakes at the Curragh.
Danetime was himself a sprinter of considerable talent with highlight performances in the July Cup (third) and Haydock Sprint Cup (third).
He was well on the way to becoming another of Danehill’s world class sire sons – with dual hemisphere G1 winners – before his premature passing.
There are six sons of Danetime available to Australian breeders in 2010 eager to draw on the unparralled success and potency of the Danehill-line via one of his typically robust and gifted sprinting sons. From a half sister to the dam of Snowland, Portillo and Snippetson, Myboycharlie represents one of the most repected families in the Stud book and is with doubt one of the best creditialed sons of Danetime standing anywhere in the world.
It has been much the same in the UK where Myboycharlie’s own achievements set Danetime on his way.
Myboycharlie has just finished his first Northern Hemisphere seasson at the English National Stud in the U.K and his first Southern Hemisphere crop foals are due to start arriving in a matter of weeks.
“I know there is a great deal of anticipation here about his foals,” Vinery’s Adam White said.
“He served a strong book of mares in his first season and that has been repeated in the UK. Myboycharlie has proved to be an extremely fertile horse which is obviously very encouraging for breeders intending on using the horse down here.”
White said Myboycharlie’s Australian book was “particularly pleasing” and includes a large number of proven producers together with stakes performed “off the track” fillies and mares.
