More Than Ready filly Consumer Credit rallied from within striking distance of the leaders to score a decisive victory in the Wait A While Stakes (1600m) on turf at Gulfstream Park on Saturday.

The Chad Brown trained youngster became the latest black-type winner for Vinery’s champion sire with a three lengths and change victory over Lismore (Tiznow) and Nicky’s Brown Miss (Big Brown).

Consumer Credit (2f More Than Ready – Sally Bowles by London News) was bred by Stonestreet Thoroughbreds and is raced by Klaravich Stables after changing hands for $185,000 at the 2013 Keeneland September yearling sale.

Klaravich owner Seth Klarman also campaigns recent G1 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies runner-up Top Decile who is by Vinery shuttler Congrats.

Consumer Credit had won her maiden third time out over 1200m at Belmont before shipping to Florida and stepping up to 1600m.  “She was real easy to ride and had a perfect trip,” jockey Edgard Zayas said.  “I just stalked the pace all the way.  At the end, she just fired.”

The winning filly is from Southern African G2 KZN Fillies Guineas winner Sally Bowles.  The mare was also Group 1 placed in the Allan Robertson Fillies Championship at Scottsville.

More Than Ready sired a juvenile double at Gulfstream Park on Saturday – earlier on the program Queen’s Ready won her maiden for owner Patsy Symons.  She made $75,000 at the at the 2014 Ocala 2YO Sale in March.

Queen’s Ready (2f More Than Ready – Queen’s Lady by Storm Cat) is a half-sister to Group 3 performed Medaglia d’Oro colt Iqbaal.  They are from a half-sister to the dam of G1 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies winner Folklore (Tiznow).
