COREY Brown pegged Nash Rawiller’s lead back by one in the quest for the `Big Brown Sydney’s Jockey’s Title Race’ after steering Testa Rossa filly Red Sienna to a debut win at Rosehill today.

With just four metropolitan meetings left in the current season, Rawiller has ridden 85 city winners, 7 ahead of Brown on 78.
The battle between the pair has ensured intense interest as the racing and breeding season draws to a close.

Last week, Vinery announced that it would make a $10,000 on behalf of the winning hoop to the National Jockey’s Trust.

Paul Innes, CEO for AJA, said: “The AJA (Australian Jockeys Association) is grateful to the Big Brown Syndicate and Vinery Stud in promoting this year’s exciting Sydney Jockeys’ Premiership race, and in so doing make a generous donation to the National Jockeys Trust (NJT).
“The donation is much appreciated by the AJA. The NJT was established by the AJA with the support of the Australian Racing Board for the express purpose of raising funds to assist seriously injured jockeys and their families.”
