CONGRATS filly Holiday Magic was in a league of her own in last weekend’s Stonehedge Farm Stakes L at Tampa Bay Downs in Florida streaking away to record her second stakeswin.
The 2011 Florida-bred filly was poised to strike in behind the speed before making a swift and decisive move on the inside of her rivals before clearing out to win by the best part of 4-lens.
Saturday’s feature win came at Holiday’s Magic ninth start and is his third victory since she took her maiden on debut.
Holiday Magic is one of 33 stakes-performers by the A.P. Indy son Congrats (15 SW’ers, 18 Sp’ed).
As well as being crowed North America’s 2010 Leading Freshman Sire, Congrats boasts a remarkable and peerless strike-rate with a 73.4 percent winners to runners.
Holiday Magic’s victory caps off a superlative weekend for Vinery and their stallions including Mossman’s elevation to Golden Slipper sire courtesy of Mossfun’s heroics while More Than Ready nailed his latest Group 1 winner when Room Service shared the spoils in the Ashland Stakes (1700m) at Keeneland.
