A FILLY by Vinery Stud resident stallion Myboycharlie sold for 70,000gns (approx $115,000) on Day One of the prestigious Tattersalls October Yearling Sale at Newmarket on Tuesday.

Born and bred in the UK, the bay coloured filly is the first foal of Park Melody, a daughter of Glencadam Gold’s sire Refuse To Bend.

Myboycharlie has covered 80 mares in his first Northern Hemisphere season at a modest fee of 5000 Pounds.  ‘Charlie finished his first season with 98% of his mares in foal and these breeder’s are now reaping the rewards.

Myboycharlie’s oldest Australian progeny turned two on August 1 and have already made their presence felt winning a number of trials in Australia and in New Zealand.

Trainers with a Myboycharlie in their stables include Gai Waterhouse, Peter Moody, Anthony Freedman, Gerald Ryan, David Hayes, Bjorn Baker, Michael Kent, Troy Corstens and Cliff Brown (Singapore).
