BIG Brown 2YO Cebile signalled her talent with an emphatic all-the-way win in the 102.7FM Handicap (1300m) at Toowoomba on Saturday night.

The well-bred filly was heavily backed from $2.50 into $2.10 fav on the score of her narrow second at the same track at her most recent appearance.
Having only her third start in a race, the Mick Nolan trained youngster gave her backers no cause for concern easily holding the others at bay to post an authoritative win.

Cebile is a combination of two Kentucky Derby winners, her sire was the unforgettable 4.8-lens winner in the 2008 renewal while her dam-sire, Fusaichi Pegasus took out the Churchill Downs classic in 2000.
On top of that, Cebile’s 3rd dam is Igreja who won South Africa’s coveted Group 1 Cape Fillies Guineas.

Meanwhile in other Big Brown related news, the Gerry Harvey bred/owned 2YO Ol’ Brown Eyes turned heads with an impressive trial win at Warwick Farm only a day before Cebile’s victory.
Coincidentally, Harvey’s 2YO is a three-quarter-brother in blood to Cebile, both of whom share the Irish mare Sontweni  a direct ancestor, Ol’ Blue Eyes being a son of the same Sadler’s Wells mare.
