VINERY Stud champion stallion More Than Ready has Golden Slipper, Breeders’ Cup, Blue Diamond, Derby, Oak and Doncaster trophies to his credit, now the emerging sire of sires has notched his 1000th individual winner.
The feat caps off another incredible year for More Than Ready who became the latest stallion to joining the ‘100 Stakes winner’s Club’ whose members also include Danehill, Northern Dancer, Mr Prospector, Zabeel, Sir Tristram, Storm Bird, Sadler’s Wells and Sunday Silence.
More Than Ready’s 1000 winners have earned an incredible A$106,751,386 world-wide.
The grand-son of Halo has twice be crowned Champion Sire of 2YO’s in Australia, likewise in the USA in 2010 where his juveniles (More Than Real and Vinery freshman Pluck) won both divisions of the Breeders’ Cup.
More Than Ready has sired successive Golden Slipper winners; Sebring (2008) and Phelan Ready (2009) as well as the 8-times Group 1 winner, More Joyous.
His sire sons are already making an impact at stud led by NZ Champion First Season Sire (2010/11) Perfectly Ready.
