AMERICAN filly I am Miss Brown looks bound for the big time after she scored a punishing 8.5-lens win at Oaklawn Park in Arkansas on Friday.

The first crop daughter of Vinery Stallion Big Brown tracked the speed early on in the mile race before making a quick and decisive move around the second turn to collar the leader.

Once there, she powered away from her discouraged rivals to win by a space and set herself up as a potential stakes filly in 2013.

Foaled in Kentucky, I Am Miss Brown was the 12th of Big Brown’s 18 individual winners during his first season at stud.

The Donnie Von Hemel trained bay had previously led throughout to post her maiden victory at Remington Park in Oklahoma over six furlongs in October.

I Am Miss Brown is the second first crop three-year-old winner for the Kentucky Derby/Preakness hero following on from Ground Transport’s effort at Fair Grounds in Louisiana last weekend.
