BIG Brown has an opportunity to deliver not one but two Derby winners in unison this weekend when first crop Americans Always Curious and Ground Transport chase classic glory in the USA.

The stakes-placed Always Curious is among the main fancies in the Grade 3 $200,000 Hawthorne Derby in Chicago after finishing third in the Restoration Stakes on the turf at Monmouth last start.

The colt has made significant progress in his three starts to date but has a serious rival for the Derby crown in More Than Ready colt Infinite Magic who is a 5/1 chance to win the feature.

Meanwhile, Big Brown colt Ground Transport lines-up against a quality field of 3YO’s in the $500,000 Grade 2 Indiana Derby.

Ground Transport is won two of his first three starts before a credible fifth in the Grade 2 Louisiana Derby in March.

The colt is trained by Michael Stidham who also puts the polish on Big Brown filly Brown Eyes Blue who has won 3 from 8 so far.
