MORE Than Ready’s Group One winning son Benicio sired his first winner this afternoon when the Toowoomba trained Bernadecio scored at Eagle Farm.

The filly was sent out $3 favourite having been close-up second on debut at Ipswich over 800m earlier in the month.

Ridden by Scott Seamer, Bernadecio gave her backers no cause for concern setting up a length win over Mossman first starter Mossriver with Red Husserati almost three lengths away in third.

The time for the 1000m was 58.27 seconds, her last 600m measured in 34.60.

Bernadecio was offered by Vinery Stud as agent at the 2008 Magic Millions National Yearling Sale where she sold for $15,000.

Her dam, Bintang, won seven races and over $125,000 in Queensland and has a perfect record as a producer with all six of her foals winning.

Bintang has a full brother to today’s winner likely to be headed back to the 2010 Magic Millions National Yearling sale.
