MASTER conditioner Albert Stapleford is aiming to become the first trainer to prepare multiple winners of the $100,000 Inglis Winter Challenge (1300m) when the 2010 renewal takes place next Friday.

Stapleford boasts a tremendous record in the rich 2yo feature having prepared Sweet Chloe to win in 2001 and last year’s runner-up Tagurit.

Tagurit is a half-sister to Stapleford’s promising 2010 entrant, Tipurit, a daughter of Vinery resident Benicio.
Tipurit booked her spot in the Challenge with an impressive half length win at Taree over 1000m on Monday.

Tipurit was bred by Albert’s nephew Robert Stapleford.
“Albert reckons she has a really good chance next week and the step up in distance will really suit her,” Robert told Sportsman.

Another win by Tipurit would be a feather in the cap for the first crop of the Derby winning son of More Than Ready.  Benicio has already tasted early Metropolitan 2yo success with Bernadecio and his first crop give every impression of improving further as 3yo’s.
