The colt named Benavarro won his 880m Heat for 2 & 3YO’s by a length in a time of 53.7 seconds.
Benavarro is trained locally by Stephen Gleeson who purchased the horse at the 2009 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale for $8000 from the Vinery Stud draft.
Gleeson has announced his intention to target the Romantic Dream Plate at Tamworth on October 2.
