BEL Danoro two-year-old Galma Ilchim is proving to be a wise investment for his Korean owners after scoring an impressive debut win at Seoul’s premier racecourse on the weekend.

The Baramul Stud bred gelding was sold firstly as a yearling for $10,000 at the 2010 Magic Millions National sale on the Gold Coast.

Later on in the year, Mr Hawng Chul Yeon, paid double that amount for the brown/black coloured colt at the Queensland Horses-in-training sale.

Galma Ilchim is the fourth foal of her dam, Mount Olive (by Quest For Fame), who is a half-sister to Group 3 Gosford Gold Cup winner, West Country.

Galma Ilchim is the third winner sired by Bel Danoro following on from Chubby Chipmunk and Forever My Love.
