BIG Brown filly Bella Castani will be chasing her second turf stakeswin this weekend when she tackles the Listed Riskaverse Stakes (1600m) at Saratoga.

The Christophe Clement trained filly has won 2 of her 5 starts to date highlighted by her come from behind victory in the Tweedside Stakes at Belmont Park in New York on April 27.

Bella Castani arrives for her Saratoga challenge off a 1 1/4-lens second in the Diamondrella Stakes, again at Belmont, after being subject to a wide run rounding the bend.

The Kentucky bred filly is one of Big Brown’s four stakeswinners from his opening crop alongside Brown Almighty, Shades of Sugar and the Group 1 Irish Champion Stakes bound Darwin.

Big Brown’s three stakes-placed horses at this time include the Group 1 Japan Derby placegetter Apollo Sonic.

Big Brown has an opportunity to add another new stakes-horse to his tally when two-year-old Tiger Bourbon runs out in the Grade 2 With Anticipation Stakes (1700m) at Saratoga . Tiger Bourbon signalled his promise with an impressive win at Belmont Park on July 12.
