MYBOYCHARLIE gelding All Great Friends is fast building a reputation as one of the most upwardly mobile horses in Hong Kong after posting back-to-back wins at Happy Valley during the week.

The Australian-bred 4YO is trained by leading HK conditioner Kenny Man and was ridden in those wins by Melbourne Cup winning jockey, Gerald Mosse of Americain fame.

All Great Friends has current earnings of more than HK$1m which is a significant return on his AUS$50,000 purchase price at the Gold Coast Horses-In-Training Sale in 2012.

The gelding is a particularly well-bred racehorse being a direct descendant of the great Stage Hit whose major wins include the Canterbury Stakes and Edward Manifold at Flemington.

All Great Friends is not the only first crop progeny of Myboycharlie in HK.  Sky Rockets (formerly Salai (Fr)) is a dual Stakes winning gelding and is looking to debut in the coming weeks.  Myboycharlie is a globally acclaimed stallion with winners spread throughout the northern and southern hemisphere.

Indeed, Dubai bound daughter Euro Charline is one of the highest rated 3YO fillies on the planet courtesy of her historic win in the Grade 1 Beverly D in the USA in August.

Sadly the Team Valor owned Euro Charline was forced to miss her Breeders’ Cup Fillies & Mares appointment due to a foot injury and is now being redirected towards a Dubai appearance in March for the coveted 2015 Dubai Duty Free at Group 1 level.

”It actually was an old injury suffered a long time ago, probably as a foal or a yearling, that was fairly well hidden and imbedded in the bone,” said Team Valor CEO Barry Irwin. “Training over here on dirt must have reactivated the area.”

Team Valor won the Dubai Duty Free with a filly, Ipi Tombe, in 2003 and Irwin is eager to try again with Euro Charline. Botti has twice hit the board in the Dubai World Cup.”  Irwin said “I really think Euro Charline has what it takes to win this race and if she does, she would make her mark in the history books and make her racing partners a lot of money.”
