MOSSMAN whiz Admiral is guaranteed to start a short priced favourite when leads the field out in Sunday’s Tasmanian Sires Produce Stakes (1400m) at Launceston.

The Barry Campbell-trained bay has won 5 of his 6 starts including his last four on the trot by comfortable margins.
Among his haul came the coveted Elwick Stakes and Gold Sovereign Stakes, both of them carrying Listed status.

Admiral is one of several big race protaganists in action this weekend by reigning Golden Slipper sire Mossman led by triple Group 1 winning son Buffering who can take his earnings closer to the $5m mark if successful in tomorrow’s Doomben 10,000.
Buffering is lining up in his fourth consecutive Doomben 10,000 having placed third in last year’s feature and second by 0.2-lens in 2012.

Still in Brisbane, talented Kiwi filly Telepathic is bound to have her share of admirers when she tackles the Group 3 BRC Grand Prix Stakes (2200m).
Owned and bred by Gerry Harvey, Telepathic (Mossman – Telepathy by Conatus) had a record of 6s 3-2-0 in New Zealand before introduding herself locally with a neck second in the Group 3 BRC Rough Habit Plate (2000m) on May 10.

Peter Moody’s Plucky Belle meanwhile strives for a deserved win in the Group 3 BRC Glenlogan Park Stud Stakes (1350m).
Plucky Belle has been without luck virtually throughout her current campaigtn which has included placings in the G3 Birthday Card Stakes and G3 Darley Crown as well as a fats finishing fourth in the G2 Sapphire Stakes at Randwick during The Championships.
