MOSSMAN wasn’t the only Vinery based sire who prospered from a two-State metropolitan double yesterday, associate Dubleo replicated the feat with winners at Ascot and Warwick Farm.

Bunbury mare Isabella Maree scored her fourth win in just eight career starts when leading throughout to bag the WATC Racingjobs.com.au Handicap (1200m) by a length.
Isabella Maree’s earnings are already near $50,000, well in excess of her $20,000 purchase price at the Perth Magic Millions Yearling Sale.

Isabella Maree was foaled on September 7, just one day before the ever-consistent Dublette entered the world.
It was fitting that the Allan Denham-trained mare Dublette matched the win of Isabella Maree with a similarly tough lead from the front victory of her own at Warwick Farm.

Dublette sent her burgeoning earnings past $80,000 after yesterday’s effort, a $50,000 return on her initial $30,000 outlay at the 2008 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale.

Dubleo has the chance to build on his midweek success with a win in Saturday’s Listed MRC Kevin Heffernan Stakes (1300m) at Sandown-Hillside via gun mare, Dubleanny.
Dubleanny was closing the gap on Set For Fame to take second when resuming in the Group 2 MRC Caulfield Sprint (1100m) before finishing unplaced in the Salinger.
“She had a few excuses for last start, she was out on her own on the grandstand side and that made it hard for Craig (Newitt) to know exactly where she was in the field and when to go” Vinery’s Conor Phelan said, “She a typically tough Dubleo and will bounce back on the weekend.”
”I think Saturday’s race will be more to her liking, she’ll get back to her normal pattern and will be running them down in the final furlong regardless of the track conditions”
