All eyes will be on promising Mossman colt Agister when he resumes in Saturday’s STC Theraces.com.au Handicap (1200m) at Rosehill Gardens.

The Allan Denham trained two-year-old hasn’t raced since finishing down the track in the Group Three AJC Kindergarten Stakes at Warwick Farm in the autumn but a recent stunning trial win points to a different result come the weekend.

Agister sizzled around Rosehill in his 900m heat on June 15 to win by nearly five lengths powering through the line with plenty in hand.

The youngster opened his account with a gutsy all-the-way win at Randwick on debut last Spring clocking a brisk 57.58 seconds for the 1000m.

Agister has to overcome an awkward draw on Saturday but can count on his supreme pace and the skill of Corey Brown to succeed.

A win would all but cap an extraordinary season for Vinery resident Mossman who has so far sired 10 individual 2YO winners, among them five stakesperformers including stakeswinners Parrawi and Stirling Grove.
