TRAINER Barry Campbell will make a decision in the next few days about whether crack Mossman 2YO Admiral will take his place in the Tasmanian Sire’s Produce Stakes (1400m).

Admiral confirmed himself as Tasmania’s premier 2YO and one of the most promising horses on the Apple Isle when running out and easy winner in last Sunday’s Hobart Autumn 2YO Classic (1200m) and record his fifth win from six starts.

With top jockey Brendon McCoull aboard Admiral travelled well in the run and when McCoull eased him three-wide to challenge the leaders turning for home he quickly put the end result beyond doubt.
Despite Admiral’s clear edge over anything else in Tasmania’s juvenile rank’s Campbell was unable to confirm a Sires’ start for the horse when speaking to tasracing.com.au
“I mightn’t run him yet. I might put him out. We’ll just see how he pulls up; he may not run,” Campbell said.

Admiral has been an integral part in shaping Mossman’s incredible season which has seen the Vinery resident post 11 stakeswinners around the world from August 1 until now.
Chief among them is the Golden Slipper winner and Australian Champion 2YO frontrunner Mossfun, NZ Oaks winner Miss Mossman as well as warhorse Buffering who won 3 Group 1’s this season.
