A $240,000 colt by Vinery stallion Mossman was the third highest priced 2YO sold at the New Zealand Bloodstock Ready to Run sale concluded yesterday at Karaka.

Lot 298 from Anzac Lodge (Cambridge) is a son of the G3 VRC Devon Park Stud Stakes winner and At Talaq mare, Fuss.

The colt was purchased by Surf Coast Racing Pty Ltd based in Victoria.

“He breezed up very impressively at Te Rapa last month running 11 seconds for the 200m section and wasn’t fully tested,” Vinery’s Adam White said.

“I think the result is also an acknowledgement of Mossman’s success last season which has certainly carried on into 2010/11.

“We saw Dinner Date win the Merson Cooper last Saturday as well as a couple of two-state doubles, consecutive metropolitan 2YO winners, things like that rarely go un-noticed.”
