Congrats filly Haveyougoneaway edged out short-priced favourite Sarah Sis with the advantage of a rails run in the $100,000 LR American Beauty Stakes (1200m) on Saturday.

The Champion Racing filly had won the LR Flashy Lady Stakes in September and doubled up at that level with a perfect trip under Jareth Loveberry at Oaklawn Park.   It was a little bit of redemption as she was placed behind Sugar Shock and Spring in the 2015 American Beauty.

“The race set up perfect for us – I set off after the two speed horses and the rail opened down the lane,” Loveberry said. “I had plenty of horse and she’s an honest filly that tries hard wherever she goes.”

Haveyougoneaway was bred in Kentucky by Andy & Susan Beadnell and made $50,000 as a foal at the 2011 Fasig-Tipton Kentucky Fall Sale prior to raising $105,000 as a yearling at the 2012 Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Sale. She’s out of One Wise Cowgirl (Wiseman’s Ferry) and has earned $312,425.

“Jareth loves this filly,” trainer Allen Milligan said. “She’s his favourite horse and he really gets along good with her.”

Milligan mentioned the LR Spring Fever Stakes (1100m) back at Oaklawn on February 20 as a likely next run this prep.

Congrats (USA) opened his stakes account this year with Forever Darling in the G2 Santa Ynez Stakes at Santa Anita on January 2. His current crop of 3yo fillies also includes Polar River who punished her rivals in the UAE 1000 Guineas Trial on January 14.

Congrats (A P Indy) has 10 yearlings on offer at the Inglis Classic Sale commencing on February 6 after the withdrawals of Lot 13 and Lot 452.

First to parade is Lot 88 (Colt ex Lyricalworks by Danehill Dancer), a younger half-brother to last week’s Summer Sprint (1000m) winner Boss Lane. It was the fifth Randwick victory for the Ron Quinton trainee – his first was in the LR Brian Crowley Stakes in 2013.
