ONE MORE, THREE MORE….

ONEMORENOMORE has ended his first season at stud with a surge thanks to three winners in as many days to go with a monumentally impressive NZ-debut winner earlier in the month.

Baring any further notable performances by his progeny between now and midnight on July 31, Onemorenomore will have racked up 5 winners and 8 placegetters in his opening season.

One of his more promising local talents is the royally related filly Onemoregypsy who broke clear of his rivals late in the piece to score an emphatic 2.5-lens win at Goulburn on Tuesday at only her second raceday appearance.

Onemoregypsy is trained at Goulburn by Kurt Goldman and was ridden by Sydney’s soon to be two-time champion apprentice, Sam Clipperton.

“She probably wants at least a mile so it was good to see what she did (on Tuesday) over 1200m,” Goldman said.

“She is very feminine and has got a pretty little face. I think she is going to develop and grow and strengthen.

“Sam was of the same opinion, He said that in six months time she’d be better again.

“She may go for a Class 1 fillies and mares race in a couple of weeks of time just to try and her rating up a little bit and then maybe go for a short break and come back for after Christmas and target some of those 3YO races in town.”

Onemoregypsy is out of the Rahy mare, Sea Gypsy, whose grand dam is the celebrated Franfreluche – the trace mare for Australia’s Champion Sires Encosta De Lago and Flying Spur.

Meanwhile across the Tasman, Onemorenomore was credited with one of the wins of the season from any of the two-year-old brigade when Purcentage debuted at Avondale on July 2 and she’ll head into Stakes company this weekend despite the propect of a gluey track.

The Grahame Richardson trained filly won a trial at Avondale by 5-lens and was no less impressive under race conditions leading throughout to win by a big space.

Purcentage is a superbly bred filly being by Red Ransom’s Group 1 2YO Onemorenomore out of 2002 AJC Gimcrack Stakes winner Spurcent.

She was originally sold to respected NZ based bloodstock agent Michael Wallace for $105,000 out of Vinery’s 2012 Magic Millions National Weanling sale draft.

Purcentage was re offered a little over six months later at the NZB Premier Yearling Sale at Karaka where she was knocked down to Richardson for a quarter of a million dollars.
