MOSSMAN & MORE THAN READY IN SOUTH AFRICA

GREEN will be a predominant colour in the Rainbow Nation this weekend when progeny of Vinery stallions Mossman and More Than Ready are in action including one in the Republic’s R3.5m Group 1 Vodafone Durban July Handicap (2200m).

Leading the way for the Scone nursery is the Magic Millions graduate Readytogorightnow who tackles the prestigious July Handicap at Greyville armed with a pair of prior stakeswins and a impressive lead-up gallop last week.
The Justin Snaith trained galloper boasts the celebrated racehorse and matron Denise’s Joy as his third dam which makes him a very close genetic relation to our own 8-times Group 1 winner More Joyous (by More Than Ready).
Readytgorightnow has won 4 of his 13 starts to date notably the Winter Classic and Winter Guineas both of which are Group 3 races run at Kenilworth.

On the same card, Mossman son Royal Zulu Warrior is down to contest the Listed Thukela Handicap over the mile.
Born and bred in Australia’s horse capital (Scone), Royal Zulu Warrior is one of 30 stakeswinners sired by Mossman having taken out the Group 2 Turrfontein Peermont Emperors Palace Charity Mile and Group 3 Lebolo Sprint.
He was also fourth in the Group 1 Summer Cup at Turffontein.
Rounding out Vinery’s July Handicap day entrants is Diamond King, a colt by More Than ready out of Salsa in the 1200m Ethekwini Handicap over 1200m.

Meanwhile at Fairview tomorrow, Mossman filly Daintree Dancer, another Australia bred expat is set to play a major role in the Listed East Cape Breeders Stakes (1200m).
Daintree Dancer is chasing her first stakeswin in quick time and has previously been placed in the Group 3 Kenilworth Stakes.
