Three juvenile trials were held at Rosehill on Tuesday morning with Bjorn Baker producing the fastest winner in Unencumbered.
Last season Baker had a lot of success with the Testa Rossa filly Twilight Royale, who won a string of two year-old races including the Group II VRC Sires Produce Stakes and he may well have a good replacement for her by the same sire in Unencumbered reports Breednet.
Improving sharply at his second trial, Unencumbered scored by three-quarters of a length in the 900 metre hit out, running 53.1 seconds with a big margin back to the third place-getter.
Bred by Newhaven Park, which has been the source of recent stakes-winners Champagne Cath and Charlie Boy, Unencumbered was offered at Magic Millions where he was bought by Bjorn Baker for $70,000.
Unencumbered is from stakes-winning More Than Ready (USA) mare Blizzardly, a former brilliant two year-old who won the Listed AJC Keith Mackay Stakes and placed in the Group II STC Magic Night Stakes.
