GET EXCITED ABOUT ALL FIVE

A SLASHING trial and a home ground advantage both point to a bold showing from Excites son Scream Machine when he resumes in Saturday’s Group 3 ATC Liverpool City Cup (1300m) at Warwick Farm.

The four-year-old gelding hasn’t started since winning back to back races at Rosehill over his preferred 2000m trip immediately after his close second in the Goulburn Cup.

Scream Machine put the writing on the wall for what to expect this weekend with an eye-catching 2nd in a recent 795m trial at Warwick Farm.

Meanwhile, Excites is shooting for a metro double at Canterbury on Friday night via last start winner Time To Excite and the sturdy stayer Black Jag.

Port Macquarie local Time To Excite finished second on debut at Grafton before an ultra-impressive 3-lens win at his home course on February 15.

Black Jag meanwhile looks ideally placed in the Rose of Mooncoin Handicap (1900m) after a fast finishing 0.5-lens third in a 1550m at Canterbury two weeks ago.

Across in Adelaide, the lightly-raced Excites four-year-old Schumacher is aiming for his second win in as many starts when contests the SAJC Pickles Auctions Handicap (1000m) at Morphettville.

The Mark Kavanagh-trained gelding resumed with an easy 3.5-lens win at Balaklava in a Maiden on Feb 24 at only his third career start.

A ROUSING trial win late last month has handy local Excites Zelady primed to take out Monday’s SAJC Adelaide Magic Millions 2Y0 Classic (1200m) at Morphettville.

The second crop son of Vinery resident sire Excites introduced himself with an impressive debut win on the Parks circuit on October 6 before contesting the Group 3 VRC Maribyrnong Plate at Flemington.

The Chris Bieg trained gelding looked sharp when surging away from his rivals to win a 1000m heat at the Morphettville Parks barrier trials on Feb 26 beating the Tony McEvoy trained Miss Wynette who is scheduled for to make her debut at the track this weekend.

Excites Zelady is a son of the Zeditave mare Zelady who managed to win 7 races and $130,000 including one each at Moonee Valley and Sandown.
