MYBOYCHARLIE colt Charlestown has a chance to assure himself of a berth in the rich Karaka Million when he lines-up in the Crowley Forge Farriers (1100m) at Woodville in New Zealand tomorrow.
The Lisa Latta trained youngster has acquitted himself well at his only two starts to date, both of them in LIsted races across the Tasman.
Foaled in Australia, Charlestown was sold for $65,000 at the NZB Select Sale at Karaka in 2012.
The colt boasts a very strong Vinery flavour given that not only is he by the Stud’s boom freshman, his dam Princess Carolina is a daughter of super-sire More Than Ready.
The Karaka Millions is scheduled to be run over 1200m at Ellerslie on Sunday January 27.
Myboycharlie has made a tremendous start to his career with two winners and metro-third from only a handful of runners led by the Golden Slipper hopeful Charlie Boy.
