LOVE THAT WIN – BEL DANORO OPENS ACCOUNT

DANEHILL son Bel Danoro was credited with his first winner when Australian-bred filly Forever My Love scored over 1500m at the Manila Jockey Club’s San Lazaro racecourse in the Philippines.

The bay or brown filly was bred by Gerry Harvey from the unraced Acquisition by Woodman

Acquisition’s dam, Chandrika, is a three-quarter-sister to former NZ Champion 3YO Leica Guv and a half-sister to dual Doncaster winner, Pharaoh.

Since delivering Forever My Love, Acquisition has produced consecutive foals by Danasinga and Mossman respectively and was covered by Bel Danaro last season.

Bel Danoro is one of a diminishing number of Danehill sons remaining on the national roster.

He was a quality sprinter who won successive stakes races at Flemington beating the likes of Apache Cat, Perfectly Ready and Cox Plate winner, El Segundo.

Bel Danoro’s first crop, of which Forever My Love is one, sold for up to $50,000.
