All Too Hard moved into double figures when Za Zi Ba became the 10th winner from his first crop at Wyong on Tuesday.

The Vinery freshman shares the lead for Australian-bred winners with Your Song.  In equal third place on 8 winners are Golden Archer and Pierro.

Za Zi Ba (2f All Too Hard – Wiener by More Than  Ready) wasn’t the best away but mustered speed to sit outside the leader in the Wyong Golf Club Plate (1100m).  She surged to a winning lead at the top of the straight to win by a half-length from late closer Joy For Us.

“She’s a lovely filly and I’m lucky to have her,” trainer Brad Widdup said.  “She’s been terrific right through this preparation.”

Za Zi Ba cost $400,000 at the 2016 Inglis Easter yearling sale and is from a stakes-placed half-sister to Snitzel and Hinchinbrook.  She was bred by Neil Werrett and Max Whitby and they retained a share in the partnership with Damion Flower, Bruce Mathieson and Rick Smith.

Apart from his 10 winners and three 2yo Stakes horses, All Too Hard has sired another 13 placegetters and there’s more black-type just around the corner when they resume for the spring carnivals.

Rosehill trainer David Payne has The Mighty Fed set for the The Rosebud-LR (1100m) first-up at his home track on August 12.  He won at Warwick Farm and Randwick in April before going out for a winter spell.

“We always thought he had a lot of ability.  He’s laid-back and has come back well,” Payne said.  “We are aiming him for the (Group 1) Golden Rose in September.”

His stablemate All Too Soon will also embark on a Group 1 campaign culminating in the Flight Stakes at Randwick on September 30.  “Both my All Too Hards are above average and I supported him again at this year’s sales on the back of what they had shown,” Payne added.  “I think he’s going to make it as a stallion.”
