More Than Ready filly Uni (GB) was reserved at the back of the pack by jockey Joel Rosario before taking control of the Noble Damsel Stakes Gr.3 at Belmont Park on Saturday.

Kicking clear at the business end of 1600m, Uni extended her lead to the best part of four lengths to complete a black-type hat-trick for trainer Chad Brown.

“I just tipped her out and she came running,” Rosario said.  “She’s a really nice filly.  I let her break, get comfortable, follow the speed and she took it from there.  I was the passenger.  She did all the work.”

Uni (4f More Than Ready – Unaided by Dansili) is unbeaten this year after priors in the Plenty of Grace Stakes LR at Aqueduct and De La Rose Stakes LR at Saratoga.  Saturday’s victory improved her record to 6 wins in 13 starts for prizemoney of $712,880.

Bred by Haras D’Etreham, Uni won the 2017 Prix Matchem LR at Maisons-Laffitte and, after transferring to North America, landed the Sands Point Stakes Gr.2 at Belmont Park last September.

There are several options at the Breeders’ Cup Championships at Churchill Downs in November but Brown wasn’t at Belmont to detail her immediate program.  He was at the Keeneland September yearling sale where the last of 13 sessions concluded on Sunday.

More Than Ready’s top-priced Keeneland filly was a $650,000 full-sister to Justa Lady (Tellike Stakes LR).  His most expensive colt was the $385,000 grandson of Sleep Easy (Hollywood Oaks Gr.1).

The Vinery legend is currently covering his latest southern book for a $66,000 service fee.
