Big Brown is about to make a big impression on the yearling market with the first crop of the 2008 Champion three-year-old male and four time Gr.1 winner heading to Fasig-Tipton this week.

Big Brown’s initial crop sold for an average of $62,154 as weanlings which was the highest among all first-year stallion’s with three or more sold.  Now yearlings this crop has continued to impress.

“You’d expect me to say this, since we stand the stallion, but not only are we extremely pleased with our Big Brown yearlings, but we are hearing great things about them from reputable horsemen,” Three Chimneys President Case Clay told The Thoroughbreds Times.

“There will be five solid Big Browns in July and two outstanding Big Browns in Saratoga [sale of selected yearlings]”.

“Of the 145 yearlings we have on the farm, our Big Brown out of La Femme Galant is in the top two. Also, we saw the colt out of Cool Ghoul the other day, which is also going to Saratoga, and he is also a serious horse. As a whole, the Big Brown yearlings look like the stallion himself.”

Big Brown shuttled to Australia in 2010 where he covered 131 mares and Vinery are eagerly awaiting the first southern hemisphere crop of the super horse.
